From the tropical and warm temperate climate of Indian sub continent and southeast Asia. It is a medium-sized ornamental tree that is fast growing and deciduous. It has an abundance of long cascading yellow flowers during spring and summer. An excellent shade or shelter tree in warm, coastal environment free from frosts. It prefers light, fertile, free draining soil and full sun exposure.
